Our beef is not halal. We use the traditional European seam butchery technique which preserves individual muscles or muscle groups and maximises tenderness.
Yes, but please let your waiter know if you have any allergies when you order. All our teams are fully trained on allergens and can advise you on which dishes are appropriate for your requirements, but we cannot guarantee the absence of traces of nuts or other allergens. Everyone is welcome at Flat Iron, but our menu has limited options for vegetarians. We’d recommend our Roasted Aubergine which is available as a main, together with our Creamed Spinach. Both of these do contain Parmesan, which is made with rennet. Our Green Salad is totally vegetarian (but not vegan). We also have Blackboard Specials – ask your waiter for more details.
Please be aware that our chips and popcorn are cooked in beef dripping.
Yes! No one is too young for great steak. A kids’ menu is available at select restaurants. Look for this icon on the restaurant’s page:

bookings & WALK-INS
These vary by location. You can find the details for each restaurant on our restaurants page.
There are lots of Flat Iron locations all over the country – you can find all of them on our restaurants page.
You can amend your booking by clicking ‘Manage booking’ in your confirmation email. If the system doesn’t accept your new timings it means that unfortunately we can’t accommodate your request. If you think you have not received your booking confirmation email, please check your junk or spam folders.
If you have a question about your booking which is not answered here, please contact the restaurant directly using the “Manage Booking” button in the confirmation email and then selecting the option “Message the restaurant”.
We allow 90 minutes for tables of 2-4 guests, and 2 hours for tables of 5 guests or more.
You can book a table here. If the date or time you want to book for isn’t available, it means all reservable tables have been booked. We always allow plenty of room for walk-in guests, so you are welcome to come to the restaurant and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. If there’s a wait, you don’t need to queue – we’ll take your details and let you know as soon as your table becomes available.
Most of our restaurants are fully accessible. Our Soho and Tottenham Court Road restaurants do have some accessibility limitations – If you have specific accessibility needs or questions, please contact us using the form here and we’ll do everything we can to help.

We accept cash and most major credit cards, including American Express.
An optional 12.5% service charge will be automatically added to your bill; just let us know if you want it removed. 100% of all cash and card tips go to our amazing staff.
The VAT receipt for your meal is the same as the final bill you receive at the end of your dining experience. If you have lost your receipt and require a duplicate, please contact us using the form here.
To help us locate your transaction quickly, please let us know: the
- date and time of your visit
- the name of the restaurant
- and the total amount paid.
Gift Cards & SHop
Digital and physical gift cards are available to buy from our online shop.
All gift cards are valid for 12 months from the day of purchase. They can be used as part or full payment at any Flat Iron restaurant. We cannot give any change, but you can use any balance for future visits, provided that the voucher has not expired.
If you’ve ordered a digital gift card and it hasn’t come through please check your junk folder. If your order is still not there, please email us using the contact form here and select Shop.

Yes, our cleavers and whisky flasks are available for purchase at all of our restaurants. Just ask any member of the team for assistance.

Absolutely! We’d love to help you celebrate. You’re more than welcome to bring a cake and some decorations with you on the day of your booking. Unfortunately, we can’t store items or allow setup in advance, as your table will be in use by other guests before your arrival.
We love children dining with us at Flat Iron, and all our restaurants have highchairs available.
Dogs are not permitted inside our restaurants, but are very welcome in our outside dining areas. The following restaurants has outdoor seating: Covent Garden, Kings Cross, Marylebone, Southbank, Spitalfields, Waterloo, Westfield London and Leeds.
