Our Westfield London restaurant occupies a large corner site on the Southern Terrace of the shopping centre, near the Shepherd’s Bush tube station.
Internally the space is divided into two sections – an informal bar area with communal seating on long oak tables and a more traditional dining area with booths and softer seating. Outside there’s a heated, covered terrace which can be used throughout the year. A palette of dark stained oak panelling, deep green paintwork and rich wood finishes makes this instantly recognisable as a Flat Iron restaurant.
Design highlights include a belt driven mechanical system of wooden fans from a specialist maker; a bar and ice cream counter, built from salvaged Victorian white glazed bricks, and an illuminated arched back bar centre piece, formed from a decorative antique mahogany fan light window, glazed with handcrafted leaded stained glass panels in brown, amber and green glass.
