Cambridge

This is a particularly special restaurant for us, being our first home outside of London. Located a stone’s throw from Market Square, the church of Great Saint Mary’s and some of Cambridge’s most well-known college buildings – Corpus Christi, King’s and Emmanuel to name a few – our two floor restaurant is housed in a stunning Victorian building. As always, our priority with the design was to strip the building back to rediscover as much as possible of its beauty and volumes, we removed layers of construction from the ceiling, exposed original white brick tiles on the walls of the ground floor and were lucky enough to also find the original wooden slats under the carpeted floor.

The flat roof on the first floor was the perfect opportunity for us to create an elevated garden, with greenery hanging down over the frontage of the restaurant. As you enter the doors, the amazing Palais London have crafted a not-so-secret garden – arguably the best people watching spot in Cambridge.

Flat Iron Cambridge serves all our classics, from our signature Flat Iron steak to beef dripping chips and homemade smoked chili mayo. We can’t wait to see you!
